Halter-training the crias from last season is a current job for many of us. It is a good idea to halter-train all crias, even if they are not destined for the show ring. Generally a halter trained alpaca is easier to handle and manage than one that is not.

This is also the time of year when we start to look at the cria from last season and assess which ones will join our various show teams. Kiwi Farm Alpaca members enjoy showing their alpacas and our alpacas can be found at many of the AANZ and A&P shows. We shall have trade stands at many of the shows including a trade stand at the 2013 Expo and Conference held at the Claudelands Event Centre during 20-24 September.

Alpacas bred and owned by Kiwi Farm Alpaca members have had excellent show results over the past twelve months.
